Dog Has Soft Lump In Tail

# 4 # 3 # 2 This Christmas

The third day begins with a desire of my own that I do come true: the point to stay awake and I leave my half, I get dressed with clothes and shoes and flight engineers outside the hotel. Small
heating up at the edge of Columbus Circle and then off for a full tour in Central Park!
For a runner to run in Central Park did not really think the price: early Saturday morning on the avenues of the park there are no tourists, just real people, New Yorkers who are into sports ... runners, those who bike or on skates and someone smiles at me and we salute you, others are too busy with their training, others too crazy and I feel like a fish in water for an hour: I have a feeling that the eyes the other could easily be mistaken for a of them, one of the city on Saturday morning that "dialogue" with Central Park and for me, a tourist's what I like best is being able to not look like a tourist, or at least not a foreigner, it's great.
Technically, the route is a ring around the perimeter of the park, which allows me to enjoy almost all points of the place, ranging from the famous West Side to Harlem to the Museum Mile and so on: the road is no discount and you can see it here because Manhattan is the Indian name meaning "island of hills" is in fact a continuous ups and downs that breaks my poor legs still recovering from injury for the winter but the joy of running here singing the verses that go with headphones would anyone run .

REM Leaving New York
You Might Have Laughed if I told you
You Might have hidden the frown
You Might Have succeeded in changing me
I Might Have Been Turned Around
It's Easier To Leave Than To Be Left Behind
Leaving Was never my proud Leaving New York never easy

I saw the light fading out

The tour ends where it began, the tourists begin to flock to the park and I'm tired, I go back to the hotel and I take a shower Quick out to breakfast.
We decide to go to find a famous pastry shop in the financial district and is a small discovery, not only for the room which offers a discreet expressed juice fruit and pastries and sweets very interesting, but also for the district of cobbled streets lined by palaces closed small size. A comfortable and retro facade obscured by huge buildings and besieged by the click of tourists and I think that most people who go to Wall Street does not even imagine what lies just around the corner.
With a full belly we change the area and choose to wander around one of the many street markets that pop up every other day in NY, perhaps the most famous of the Farmer's Market to Union Square: There are stalls with all the strangeness of vegetables or fruit from every corner of the planet ... potato-shaped banana from Russia and even our bread. I dare not try I do everything but groped by a couple of fresh apples and we are moving towards north zig zag between the fifth and sixth road taken by the architecture of the buildings, here are a strange ... one in all, the "Iron".

We jump on the subway to explore the area of \u200b\u200bthe Mid-Town to the east and come out of the central station that looks more like a theater than a train station is a huge exchange but also a pleasant place to observe the comings and goings of people and then it is beautifully kept more than our train stations. Imagine the station in Rome or Milan or Bologna but beautiful and clean as a luxury cinema, and marble staircases, lighting and frescoes by: paintings on the ceiling are the signs of the zodiac embedded in the ceiling with lights that change color .... Then the icing part! Every few minutes there is a show of lights and images shot on the ceiling and walls and the station is transformed into a giant music box with streamers and rides that run on the walls! I mean this with minimal investment also have a station yet another tourist destination ... and rightly so.

The music ends and we go out exploring the neighborhood with a side trip to the doors of famous skyscrapers ... The Chrysler is the most beautiful and strange, but you can only see inside the atrium.
We move to the west to visit the public library which is another jewel of the city: a historic building with the style of a library "Old England" but all in all in wood with large rooms for reading endless shelves mileage, pictures and computer will take the opportunity to rest a while sitting in a room pretending to read something, but it is terdi and hunger is felt.
decide to move again in the East Village for lunch at a deli rather famous, or the place where was filmed the most famous scene from the film "When Harry Met Sally," one of the fake orgasm. The place turns out to be a) smaller than the predictable, there will be 10 tables to exaggerate, and a long counter where you order and then eat standing unless you are lucky enough to find to sit b) full to capacity then despite watering dishes for those strafritte and smell, very bad for the body but so buoooone, we decide to give up and go out after reading the sign that hangs above the table where they filmed the movie ("This is where Sally Harry knew, we hope you take what you took).
out again and looking for food, we make an interesting discovery nearby and certainly much more salutary for the city there are shops, a chain selling organic food, a supermarket where you can make the cost associated with full bio a kind of self-service where bowls and trays filled with food freshly prepared to eat upstairs. There is a lot of everything and everything good, with a lunch of lentil soup, bread and organic yogurt.
After lunch we go to Soho for a tour of the shops in the shopping district: there are tourists who come just for that also saw the favorable exchange rate but we are not smart buyers and we have no eye for the deal and then watch the windows and the people who buy, move to the human tide to the Greenwitch village, now it gets dark and we just have to wander around a little longer before returning to the hotel.
Meanwhile a mist descends, it seems that even the planes will not start: we take advantage of the atmosphere smoky for a ride in the hubbub of people between Fifth Avenue and Rockefeller Center: you can not move, all tourists are here to see the skating rink and the star of swarovski like tip of the tree for us is very tacky and much prefer the lights which they put up some buildings that seem giant gift boxes with bows made of lights.

REM All I Have To Do Is Dream
When I want you in my arms, When I want you and all your charms Whenever I want you
, all I have to do, is
Dream, dream dream dream

It 's late and we have not yet had dinner in the area do not have in mind no room to try and then decide to do a test: a couple of years ago we stayed in this area on Sixth Street (Hilton) and corner the hotel was one of the many walking with her cart but the peculiarity was that at any time of day or night, the ranks of the patrons were several tens of meters, erfino at 5 am, people did to the file as preparing the boys enjoy the "Barachini. On that occasion we have always wondered what was so special about those dishes to do so many people queue up, the rest of us every time we went though curiously we avoided spending hours in the queue.
Tonight we are here and we have nothing else to do then we put in the queue, because after a couple of years, the tail is still there while I look I see people who continue to flood in, people who arrive by car to move home the food to eat, children who speak enthusiastic about what awaits them in their turn, flying words like "delicious," "incredible", "fantastic."
We are always curious and hungry, when it's up to us after we take and we pay good 30/40 minutes.
I was saying that the American taste buds have fused ... no, it's much worse! How the hell do they do? So the dish consists of chicken or beef, your choice, along with rice and vegetables, in short, that is just chicken salad seasoned with spices and a few hyper-spicy sauce, but the term is still too little hyper! We are not people who eat the raw peperette not bother us but the Mexican ... Well this is really too much, is not You can even eat a bite without tears. The beauty is that it is the same for everybody, in fact the practice of people drown in the dish sauces, mayonnaise and katchup at will going to cover the fire in the gourmet dish.
It was also a good dish if it was not so strong but what I really do not understand is the enthusiasm of the city for these super spicy dishes that are to be dammed with the sauces .... boh
With doubt and his tongue on fire we go back to the hotel to sleep last day tomorrow and we are still waiting for a couple of strolls.
